Oconomowoc WI Senior Photography at First Roots Farm
Senior year is such an exciting season. There is so much to look forward to, from the final year of high school to graduation and everything that comes next. I always love chatting with seniors during their sessions about what they are excited about and what they hope to do after graduation.
For this Oconomowoc, WI senior photography session, we started at First Roots Farm. The flower fields gave us the perfect summer backdrop for senior photos. With so many colorful flowers surrounding us, we had plenty of opportunities to try different poses and create a gallery with lots of variety. Being an animal lover we had to include some photos with the chickens wandering the farm as well!
First Roots Farm has become one of my favorite locations for summer photography. The flower fields offer something completely different from a traditional outdoor session with greenery or an open field. The setting feels colorful, feminine, and fun while still keeping the focus on the senior.
Senior Pictures in the Oconomowoc WI Flower Fields
Flower fields create so many possibilities for senior photography. We walked through the flowers and tried a variety of poses and perspectives. Some images felt more traditional, while others captured a more relaxed and natural side of her personality.
I love giving seniors room to move during their sessions. Senior photos should feel like you, not like you are simply standing in one spot and smiling at the camera.
Because we planned two locations for this session, we also had the chance to create completely different looks.
Country-Inspired Senior Photos at Harnischfeger Park
The second half of the session brought a fun country-inspired vibe.
Harnischfeger Park was the perfect fit because she loves country-style settings and animals. The barn and ivy-covered silo created a beautiful backdrop. The wooden fences also added those little pops of country charm that made the photos feel unique to her.
Then, we spotted some horses in the background.
Since she loves animals, having horses nearby was such a fun bonus. It added another personal detail to the session without us having to plan for it.
As the evening continued, the sunset came out and gave us beautiful golden light. The combination of warm sunset light, wooden fences, the barn, and the surrounding landscape created some of my favorite images from the session.
Ixonia WI Senior Pictures with Variety
One of my favorite ways to photograph high school seniors involves choosing locations that offer different looks. Instead of staying in one place for the entire session, we can create a gallery that feels much more diverse.
This session gave us exactly that.
First Roots Farm brought colorful summer flowers and a bright, cheerful feel. Then, Harnischfeger Park brought rustic details, country-inspired backdrops, animals, and gorgeous sunset light.
Together, the two locations told a much more complete story.
