Cake smash sessions are such a fun way to celebrate your baby’s first birthday! At my Watertown studio I am able to customize your little ones first birthday photos to be extra special, these milestone photos are full of giggles, frosting-covered fingers, and big smiles.
Before every cake smash, I ask parents for input on the setup. Some families go simple and classic with balloons, florals and soft pastels, while others love a fun theme — either way I customize the set to your requests. These twin parents asked for a bear-y first birthday themed set up with neutral balloons and soft teddy bears. Creating these sets are one of my favorite parts about being a cake smash photographer.
I always capture a few portraits before the cake fun begins, then document every adorable moment of discovery — from the first curious poke to the messy, happy chaos that follows. Afterward, a quick splash bath cleanup can be included for even more cuteness! These two were such a joy to watch and capture this precious milestone.
